Milwaukie is still negotiating a park maintenance agreement with North Clackamas Parks & Rec, but in the meantime: it’s up to us locals to keep Balfour park weeded and litter-free! One stalwart neighbor is leading the charge, but help would be greatly appreciated in removing dandelions, lesser celandine, and litter from our new park, plus occasional sweeping and removing fallen branches.
If you’re interested in lending a hand on a (roughly) weekly basis, here’s what to do:
- Review the Adopt-a-Park Safety Guidelines.
- Complete and submit one of the following service agreements:
- Adult volunteers: submit the Volunteer Service Agreement.
- Volunteers under 18: have a parent/guardian submit the Youth Volunteer Service Agreement.
- When the steps above are completed, email the volunteer group leader, Lisa (astrantialgr@gmail.com) to set up a training time.
Weed season is in full swing, so the sooner you can sign up, the better! Thanks in advance for your help!
