Friends of Tideman Johnson Park work party is Sat., Oct. 2, 2010, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tideman Johnson Park boardwalk.
Volunteers will be pulling weeds and ivy.
“One of the challenging spots that remains is the area east of the wetland, which gets very swampy in the winter so it’s hard to work there,” says Marianne Colgrove of Friends of Tideman Johnson Park.
Tools and refreshments are provided at the work party. Waterproof boots are not provided, but are recommended for working in wetland areas.
