Howdy all Friends of Tideman Johnson,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
And now, it’s nearly December, and that mean’s the last work party of 2017. This month we’ll transform a weed-patch near the creek overlook into a beautiful native planting. And I hear we may have a few extra plants for the creek-side as well.
Saturday, December 2nd, 9am – noon
Lots of tools, snacks, great people, good times!
Meet up at the overlook, which is at the east end of the park
From at SE 37 & Tenino, south of SE Crystal Springs Blvd, go down the hill to the Springwater Trail and head to the east. Or from the SE 45th trailhead, bike or walk the Springwater Corridor Trail west to Tideman Johnson Park.
We hope to see you out there!

PS. Yesterday I enjoyed a nice walk through the park, in between rain showers. The creek was running high and everything was all glistening. The highlight was spotting a screech owl (I think), roosting in the shrubbery right along the Springwater. He gave me the hairy eyeball but was mostly unperturbed by all traffic along the Springwater. I got a few photos with my phone, by Kevin was able to get a much better pic through his spotting scope (it’s not for hunting!). Enjoy!
