A section of the Springwater Trail in Ardenwald will close next month to replace a bridge. Portland Parks & Recreation will close the Springwater Trail section between SE 45th Ave. and SE 55th Ave. mid-May.
A steel and concrete bridge will replace the existing 1900’s-built wooden Trestle crossing Johnson Creek near SE 45th Ave.
A detour will be in place south of the trail along SE Brookside, SE Rainbow Lane, and SE 55th Ave.
Construction staging may also take place on the trailhead parking area west of SE 45th Ave. The parking area may close occasionally and for up to five days at time.
The replacement project completion date is sometime November 2019.
