Tideman Johnson Park, SE 37th & Tenino, (map it) – meet on the boardwalk
We are partnering with the Xerces Society to monitor aquatic macroinvertebrates — an important meausure of stream health in Johnson Creek. The data we collect will feed into larger efforts to monitor aquatic macroinvertebrates throughout the Johnson Creek Watershed. All volunteers will learn how to collect water samples and identify macroinvertebrate species and will receive copies of the Xerces Society field guides A Guide to Pacific Northwest Macroinvertebrate Monitoring & Identification and Freshwater Mussels of the Pacific Northwest.
