From Marianne Colgrove, Friends of Tideman Johnson Park:
Hello all Friends of Tideman Johnson, and Happy 2019!
Our first restoration event of the year is coming right up! This month we’ll continue removing invasive ivy, clematis, and blackberry in the woodland. We’ll also branch out and go after some pesky ivy in the nearby “island”
Saturday, February 2nd, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lots of tools, snacks, great people, good times!
Meet up at the boardwalk
From at SE 37 & Tenino, south of SE Crystal Springs Blvd, walk down the hill to the boardwalk. Or from the SE 45th trailhead, bike or walk the Springwater Corridor Trail west to Tideman Johnson Park. Follow the path to the left to the boardwalk.
This would also be a good time to mark your calendar for the Watershed Wide Event on March 2. Tideman Johnson is one of ten sites throughout the watershed, so take your pick! Visit http://www.jcwc.org/events/wwe21/ for more information and please do register so we know how much pizza to order for the after party.
We hope to see you out there!
Marianne
