11th Annual JCWC Cleanup Event Aug. 25

From Marianne Colgrove, Friends of Tideman Johnson Park:

Howdy All Friends of Tideman Johnson,

It’s August, and that means the annual Johnson Creek Cleanup is right around the corner! This is the one time of year we’re able to get into the creek to remove debris, with little risk to ourselves or aquatic critters.

I will be leading a team in Tideman Johnson Park for folks who prefer not to go into the creek but, rest assured, there will be plenty of opportunities to get wet if that’s your preference.

Here are many details:

  • Saturday August 25th, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Meet up at Mill Park, 6201 SE Overland Street, Milwaukie (one block south of Johnson Creek Blvd. on Linwood)
  • Free T-shirts for the first 100 people to arrive
  • Tools, instruction, and breakfast fare for everyone
  • Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting wet and grubby

After party at Mill Park, 12:30 – 2:00 (BBQ! Prizes! Food and Drink!)

For more information and to RSVP visit  jcwc.org/cleanup2018.

I’ve attached a PDF with all the info – feel free to send it to your friends or post it if you know a good location.

We hope to see you out there!
