Hello all Friends of Tideman Johnson, and Happy New Year!
January is almost over, so that means it’s time to resume our restoration work in Tideman Johnson. This coming Saturday, we’ll continue to prep the area between the boardwalk path and the Springwater Trail so it’s all ready for planting at the March Watershed Wide Event. I took a stroll down there this weekend, and things are looking pretty good! But, there’s always a little sneaky ivy and blackberry to ferret out.
Saturday February 3rd, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Tools and refreshments are provided.
Meet up at the boardwalk, which is on the loop trail.
- From at SE 37 & Tenino, south of SE Crystal Springs Blvd, go down the hill to the Springwater Trail and keep walking down into the park. Or from the SE 45th trailhead, bike or walk the Springwater Corridor Trail west to the Tideman Johnson loop trail.
And, speaking of the Johnson Creek Watershed Wide Event have you noticed that this year is the 20th anniversary? AND, there’s going to be a costume contest – its not too soon to start concocting your award-winning watershed costume!
We hope to see you out there!
