Hello all Friends of Tideman Johnson,
I hope you enjoyed a happy and peaceful Memorial Day holiday yesterday.
This coming Saturday is our last work party in Tideman Johnson this season. That means we’ll wrap up with our annual BBQ – a great opportunity to express our appreciation for our fabulous volunteers and our fabulous Portland Parks & Rec support staff who help us do our best for Tideman Johnson Park.
This month we’ll be watering and weeding our recent planting at the east end of the park, along the Springwater trail. For anyone who enjoys pulling invasives out of the wetland, we’ll also be sending an assassin squad for one last pass at the impatiens taking over our little pond. Bring your boots!
The forecast is for warm weather this Saturday. Fear not! we’ll have plenty of beverages to help keep you cool. Here are the details:
Saturday June 4th, 9am – noon
Meet up on the Springwater toward the east end (closer to 45th parking lot)
Annual Friends BBQ starts around noon.
Please RSVP so we get the right amount of Ottos sausages, and please do let me know if you have any dietary concerns.
