From Lisa Gunion-Rinker:
Hello Ardenwalders!
Just to let you know we raised $1,157.70 at our neighborhood plant sale on Sunday April 28th. Yay us! A tremendous THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support our new park!! Our goal, however, was to raise between $1,500 – $2,000 so we decided to have another plant sale, this time 1/2 price, to see if we can reach our goal. (Don’t worry, there will still be plenty of plants to drop off at the Ledding Library Plant Sale on May 11th, but instead of 8 truckloads of plants….we hope 2 or 3 will suffice.) So if you were out of town last weekend or had other obligations you are in luck! Stop by, get a few plants, support your new neighborhood park, and help us reach our goal!
When: Sunday, May 5th from 12pm – 5pm
Where: 3012 S.E. Balfour Street (Near our future neighborhood park)
Please join the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek Neighborhood for their plant sale and help us reach our goal. Bring your plant list, and plant enthusiasm, and come buy some choice plants to take home. Plants have been donated from some of our accomplished neighborhood master gardeners, and some of our wonderful neighborhood HPSO gardeners. This plant sale is a fundraiser for development of a park master plan and will be located near the future new park. (Please bring cash or check only, as there will not be a debit/credit machine available at the checkout). If you have any questions, please contact Lisa at: 503-754-1655. For more information, also check out our website: www.ardenwald.org.
(Meanwhile, here are some photos from the April 28, 2013 plant sale.)
