Ardenwald Neighborhood Association’s Creek Committee chair Russ Stoll won the Johnson Creek Watershed Council (JCWC) 2011 Riffle Award.
According to the JCWC, Russ has been a strong leader on the Creek Committee for the past two years. He has been working on habitat enhancements and the interpretive boardwalk at the new Tacoma Street/Johnson Creek light rail station.
The award was presented on May 24, 2012.
Stoll was nominated as an At-Large member at the May 2010 neighborhood board elections, and has been steadily involved with the Tacoma Street Park & Ride project. The neighborhood association’s Tacoma Street Park & Ride project committee was renamed to Creek Committee at the April 10, 2012 regular neighborhood meeting.
