It’s spring – finally! All the little woodland flowers are blooming like crazy, and we’re going to have an ivy hunt. We have done such a great job going after the ivy that now we’re down to the sneaky little bits that can only be hunted down and yanked out by hand.
Saturday, May 7, 9 a.m. – noon, meet down by the boardwalk (near Springwater Corridor Trail at the S.E. 37th Ave. trailhead)
Also, thanks to our friends at Xerces Society, we’re having a wetland invertebrate sampling event on May 21st. We are looking for volunteers to help scoop up water from our pond (without hurting any frogs or plants) so all the little buggy critters can be counted and identified. This is part of a larger project to assess water quality and human impact throughout the Willamette Valley. Let me know if you’re interested in joining us.
In the meantime, we hope to see you out there on Saturday.
