The Portland Parks and Recreation has added an additional work party for this upcoming Saturday to finish the work from last week’s Tideman-Johnson Park work party.

Susan Hawes, the stewardship coordinator from Portland Parks and Recreation says the volunteers will return to the site to continue mulching plants and finish planting native plants into the ground.

Work tools and warm refreshments will be provided. Volunteers should be prepared to work in wet, cold and muddy conditions.

If you are interested in volunteering, please RSVP Susan Hawes by email at susan.hawes@portlandoregon.gov. The RSVP is for determining how many tools and how much refreshments are needed.

The work party is Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tideman-Johnson Park at the S.E. 37th Ave. Trailhead.
